Vikings: The Odyssey to the Ends of the Earth – Immersive Cities, February 6 through August 30

Immersive Cities makes a stop in Nice with a new City on the famous Promenade des Anglais, with an inaugural exhibition dedicated to the Viking universe.

A true immersion in French history, this narrated journey plunges visitors into the Viking Age with a sound and light show, breathtaking sets, and a wealth of archaeological objects and artifacts. Ideal for family outings, trips with friends, or school visits, this exhibition showcases Viking heritage and legacy through 360° video mapping projections, immersive displays, and interactive reconstructions. Visitors have access to an audio headset, available in French and English, for independent use throughout the experience.

The route, spread across five spaces with striking atmospheres – from the room of Smoking Ruins to the room of Dreams – invites visitors to walk in the footsteps of Nordic warriors, discover their culture and understand the impact of their passage on our territory.

A virtual reality game, in exclusive partnership with The Viking Planet in Oslo, punctuates the experience, inviting the public to embody a Norse warrior and experience a Viking raid, combining realistic combat, 3D soundscape, cinematic storytelling and cutting-edge sensory effects.

With this new regional location, Cités Immersives continues its objective of decentralizing the cultural offering to open it up to the greatest number of people.
